Controlling Morning Sickness
If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, CONGRATS!! You are probably excited, exhausted, and a bit nauseas. Try to relax, it will be over soon. In the mean time, here are some helpful hints that may help to fight off that nausea sooner!
Eat small meals often
Stay away from spicy or garlicky foods (any food that “stays with you” will be a nuisance)
Try to stay hydrated. This is highly important but often times hard to do!
Relax and take naps as much as possible
Try aloe water. 2 oz a day
Keep a small snack with you at all times (like saltine crackers)
Before stepping out of bed in the morning, lay there for about 10 minutes and munch on some crackers
Ginger ale may help to relax your stomach and reduce the nausea
Try to get fresh air, you may feel too sick to exercise but at least try to go for a walk each day
B6 and magnesium have been helpful for some women. The recommended dose is 100 mg B6 and 400 mg Magnesium
